THE ITALIAN JOB

The incredible story of Italian passion and craftsmanship behind the new Kreissäge RS.

For over a decade, we’ve been working with three Italian factories to bring the KREISSÄGE RS to life - a bike made from precision, performance, and a whole lot of passion. “THE ITALIAN JOB” takes you behind the scenes to meet the people who’ve shaped this legacy one weld, one paint coat, and one espresso at a time.

“The Kreissäge RS has always been about defining our own standards. It’s about showing what metal bikes can do, about being different in a sea of black plastic, and about having fun, while putting in the hard work.”

(Max von Senger, CEO and Founder of Standert Bicycles)
JOURNEY TO ITALY

A few weeks back, we packed our bags (and our appetite for espresso) and headed to Italy. Destination: the workshops where the KREISSÄGE RS is born. Our new documentary captures that trip: the people, the process, and the purpose behind every detail of this Scandium alloy frame. From the first spark of the welder to the final decals… every step is a reflection of expertise, repetition, and quiet obsession. It’s a bike that’s made by hand, but more importantly: made by heart.

“It takes a lot of time - many, many years of experience. You can’t just look at a couple of photos or spend half a day here and think you understand. It takes years of work - you can ask Adil. I came here with hair, and now I have none.”

(Diego, Univer Telai)
MEET THE MAESTRI

In “THE ITALIAN JOB”, you’ll meet three of the legends behind the build. There’s Stefano, who’s got tubing down to a fine art. Diego, welding master and keeper of 30 years of torch wisdom. And Gigi, whose paintjob could make Botticelli blush. They each bring their own rhythm and pride to the process - no shortcuts, no compromises. Knowing that these bikes come from real hands and real stories? That’s what makes each KREISSÄGE RS more than just a frame. It makes it ours.

“It’s a job that requires a certain level of experience to carry out every type of process and bring it to completion. The guys here are used to this - I’ve taught them something important: every worker should consider what’s been done before and must consider what comes after”

(Gigi, Kmax Pro)
CRAFTING THE KREISSÄGE RS

“We were really impressed by the dedication with which Standert has insisted on staying firmly within the world of aluminum and chose scandium-enriched alloys to do it. Is it a winning choice - yes, it is.”

(Stefano, Dedacciai)

The KREISSÄGE RS was first born in Italy a decade ago. Rebuilding it from the ground up meant one thing: don’t just match what came before - raise the bar. We pushed the material. We pushed the manufacturing. We obsessed over every millimetre of the silhouette until it spoke for itself. One of the standouts? The all-new head tube. What once featured can-shaped form turns into an aerodynamic profile built for speed. Performance might be the goal but, in the end, craftsmanship is the reason it gets there.

This bike was designed with Crit Racers in mind, but really, it’s for anyone who wants to push their performance. It’s aggressive, refined, and race ready - without compromise.”

(Maxe Faschina, Head of Product at Standert Bicycles)
