At Standert we’re not in the business of simply being led by the industry, and neither is Danish componentry innovators Polymer Workshop. We, more than anyone but Polymer themselves recognise this shared ambition, which is exactly why we’re so excited to announce our brand new OEM partnership together.

Polymer Workshop may only have started in 2023 but they’ve spared no time in making waves in the pointy end of the bike industry. Beginning with two wheelsets, developed entirely in-house with local talent alongside expert Chinese manufacturing capability, Polymer have rapidly expanded to include an ultra-lightweight seatpost and innovative cockpit solution with performance figures to make the big players blush.
It is this spirit of challenging the traditional brands, along with an ambition to fill a glaring market gap for an end to end offering of genuinely premium component upgrades, which makes an OEM partnership with Standert such a logical pairing. For both sides of the coin. When buying a new bike, choosing Standert is a deliberate step away from the status quo and so it makes sense to go one step further by offering components reflecting the same uniqueness and, more importantly, performance that both brands stand for.

Polymer Workshop’s Sculpture integrated cockpit is designed around an entirely modern way of thinking about rider position. Long, low and more than ever, narrow. Offered in widths of 36 and 38cm at the hoods, with 90mm reach and -10° angle, the Sculpture provides a super stable base to hold a more aerodynamic position for longer and in more comfort. But don’t think for a second these are just numbers on a page, it has outperformed the likes of Roval’s Rapide cockpit in independent aero tests by double-digit wattages. Looking and feeling fast is indeed actually fast in this case.
To complement the Sculpture cockpit is the Obelisk seatpost, a beautifully minimalist carbon piece that offers reliable support for all conditions and weighs in at an appropriately minimal 139g. Available in both 0mm and 15mm setback to fit the full spectrum of bike and rider sizes.

Not just taking Polymer’s word for it, we’ve put the range through its paces with Team Standert Brandenburg as they completed their preseason training camp on Mallorca. It goes without saying the results have spoken for themselves and we’re incredibly excited to offer these components as the perfect compliment to your next Standert.
Both the Sculpture integrated cockpit and Obelisk seatpost are configurable right now on the Kreissäge RS, with more models to follow in the coming weeks and months.
